Bridget Lane

Influenced by the forms of late Modernism, my work is a reinterpretation of the world around me. It’s a response to the seemingly mundane, that familiar place, a recognisable view, an everyday occurrence. Seen through a different lens, these hidden gems that we often brush past, or hold in our mind for a fleeting moment, are transformed and given a new sense of life.

Intensity of colour is important to me and I am continually exploring how a visually simple form can be enhanced with divergent colour tones.

My tapestries are a visual representation of the stories that surround me.
