Textiles has been my main area of practice since 2010, following a career in visual communication. Work encompasses a variety of materials and techniques such as woven tapestry, knotting and wrapping. I usually develop concepts from sketches, either from observation or thoughts. Some ideas need structural planning to make them reality but there is no fixed methodology and often pieces develop in an organic way, the materials and techniques influencing the interpretation. My work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally.
