STORY OF MY IDENTITY : WOMAN IS LIKE THE MOON
Magenta is a colour that I have always had an affinity for and it has provided me with an identity during my journey between two cultures. I see the act of weaving a wrapping for an organic, pre-existing living object, such as a tree, as a symbolic synthesis of the natural environment and myself. I have lived and worked in a variety of environments from the small fishing villages of my childhood in Korea through the busy cities of Seoul and London, to Chichester on the south coast and recently the East Anglian fens.
